How the lesson runs
Troy texts you the spot, picked on the conditions, safety and your ability. You suit up and start on the sand with the pop-up, then you are in the water with your instructor beside you.
They pick the wave, times the push and tells you the one thing to think about.
Who it is for
First-timers who want to stand up today, nervous swimmers who want one instructor watching only them, and anyone who wants to learn faster than a group allows.
Ages five and up. You should be comfortable in water over your head.

The details
- Price
- $170 for 90 minutes
- Times
- 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00 AM, 12:00, 2:00 and 3:30 PM, every day except Monday. Book at least 24 hours ahead.
- Meet
- Troy picks the spot based on the conditions, safety and your ability, and texts you where to meet.
- Instructor
- Most lessons are taught by Troy. When he is booked up, he may send one of his trusted instructors, and he will let you know before your lesson.
- Bring
- A towel, sunscreen and a swimsuit or board shorts to wear under the wetsuit.
- Add-ons
- Photo and video package $45. GoPro on the board $25.
- Cancellation
- Full refund with 24 hours' notice, or if Troy calls it off for conditions. Free reschedule with 12 hours' notice.
